Ink Value Drawing
  

In this unit, students will create value drawing of a three-dimensional form in ink using shading techniques.

The unit includes three exercises, one finished compositions, a rubric and reflection.

Final Composition: Ink Value Drawing

The value drawing in ink provides an opportunity to practice shading techniques beyond blending. Creating at least five distinct values in at least two different shading techniques, students create a large volumetric form in a realistic setting.

   You'll need:
  • Final Composition Paper
  • Reference Image
  • Pencil (for the transfer process)
  • Ink Pen (Papermate Flair Medium)
