Architectural Collage & Ink Drawing
In this unit, students will create both a collage inspired by architecture and an ink collage cropped from the aforementioned collage.
The unit includes three exercises, two finished compositions, a rubric and reflection.

Exercise One: PatternThis exercise helps you make interesting patterns - thinking about negative space as well as positive space, the values created by the pattern, and practice using a template.
Using an ink pen, create regular and random patterns using lines and shapes. Use a template at least once. Try to create both a light value and a dark value for each type.
