Upside-Down Drawing Exercise

This exercise helps you draw what you see, rather than what you think you see. Drawing upside down will help trick your brain into seeing the lines that are actually there, instead of your idea of an eye or an ear.

   You'll need:
  • Plain white drawing paper (8.5"x11")
  • Image of Igor Stravinsky by Pablo Picasso
  • Drawing Pencil
  • Ruler
