ROUGH DRAFT - Designing a Non-representational Geometric Pattern
Researching for your DesignYOUR DESIGN SHOULD BE NON-REPRSENTATIONAL (NO IMAGES OF OBJECTS).
YOUR DESIGN SHOULD BE GEOMETRIC. IT IS A LOT EASIER TO CUT STRAIGHT LINES THAN CURVED LINES.THE MORE ORNATE THE DESIGN, THE MORE INTERESTING THE SCULPTURE. REFER TO CULTURES THAT USE GEOMETRIC PATTERNS: ISLAMIC ART, INDIGENOUS/FIRST NATIONS PEOPLES, ETC. YOU CAN LOOK AT ART FROM MIDDLE EASTERN COUNTRIES, SOUTH ASIA, AND INDIGENOUS POPULATIONS WORLD-WIDE FOR GREAT EXAMPLES OF GEOMETRIC PATTERNS. |
