Giant Paper Maché
Paper Maché is a three dimensional medium using paper and adhesive for construction.
Students will create one three dimensional sculpture as a class.
The unit requires students work together as a team, engineer a larger-than-life sculpture that is balanced and moveable, and paint a finish on the surface that is exciting and precise.

Researching for your Creature Design
YOUR REEF SHOULD BE A LIFE-SIZE REPLICA OF A CORAL SYSTEM. YOU SHOULD USE NEGATIVE SPACE TO CREATE AN INTERESTING FORM (FROM ALL ANGLES).
YOUR SCULPTURE SHOULD HAVE DIFFERENT LEVELS OF CORAL (THINK OF A GARDEN - GRASS-HEIGHT, LOW LYING PARTS, BUSH-HEIGHT MEDIUM LEVEL PARTS, AND TREE-HEIGHT LARGER SHOW PIECES).
YOUR SCULPTURE WILL BE A HOME TO OTHER CLASSES' ANIMAL SCULTURES.
USE REFERENCES TO GET ACCURATE CORAL REFERENCES IN YOUR DRAWING.
